Finely executed late 1800's antique continental guilloche enamel, painted ivory, and gilt silver box. Unusual olive green color French enamel with an overall diaper pattern accenting an oval reserve bordered with a gold gilt leaf form frame housing an oval portrait of a serene woman in a lace veil. Portrait appears to be painted on natural material, executed in a master's hand with minute details clearly visible. French small guarantee boar's head mark on rim with an additional mark within a diamond, possibly depose. Small box with no hinge, two parts. Vanity, dresser, trinket, forget me not box, approx. 2-1/4"Dia x 7/8"H. This item can be shipped in-house.

In overall excellent condition with minor surface scratches from typical wear expected with age. Underside bottom shows typical scratches from use. Portrait in good condition, glass or rock crystal cover shows one small chip to the edge of the frame. See images for details on condition.
