Description
Early 1970s Pasadena .44 AMP Automag, one of only a handful that were factory-engraved. Serial number on butt E-105. Comes with copy of letter from T.D.E president Harry W. Sanford (to the previous owner) affirming that only six or seven had -- by that time -- been engraved. The letter references E-107, which was owned at the time by the same person who owned E-105. While there is an Automag with the serial number E-110, it appears that the serial numbering at the Automag factory, at least in the early years, didn't follow such mundane conventions as, say, numeric order. Needless to say, an extraordinarily rare and desirable firearm. C&R or FFL required. This item can be shipped in-house. Please check the shipping details in our terms and conditions for specifics on firearm shipping. Blackwell Auctions holds a Federal Firearms License (FFL). All firearms: pistol, revolver, shotgun & rifle transactions will be conducted in accordance with local, state and Federal laws, without exception.
Condition
See images. Functionally excellent, smooth and tight. Minor finish loss in spots, mostly along rib. Engraving sharp and unworn. A well-cared-for pistol, to be sure. Not replated or tampered with in any way.
