Description
Very nice 1862 Colt 1860 Army percussion single action revolver. Serial number 16077. All numbers match, including frame, barrel, cylinder, strap, wedge, cylinder pin and grip. Ainsworth "A" inspection mark rear left side of 8" barrel. "T" on strap behind hammer, twice on cylinder, on guard just behind trigger and at right rear side of barrel. "D" just in front of loading lever hinge. "P" on frame, right side just behind cylinder. Inverted "2" stamped on the left side flat between back end of barrel and the cylinder pin opening. This item can be shipped in-house.
Condition
See images. Very nice condition, brown finish. Not refinished or otherwise altered, as far as we can tell. Grips have some corner wear and a small chip on the right (lower corner of top end). Most of the cylinder scene is visible, with a couple of splotches obscuring scene, as shown. Tight and strong action. On flat just outside right rear trigger guard screw is a faint "44 Cal" incised shallowly.
