Antique 1800s or earlier painting (oil on canvas) of Mary holding Jesus. A repousse silver oklad or riza has been added, hallmarked illegibly in two places near the bottom edge. Additionally, stones have been set into the crowns, and stars have been pinned into the canvas as a sort of halo around the figures. Measures 18-1/2" x 14-3/8" visible in 25" x 20-3/4" frame.
