Circa 1835, Edward Benton, before Benjamin Cogswell and Harrison, percussion belt pistol. Approx. .32 cal. smoothbore. Octagon barrel measures approx. 3 1/4" long and is marked "E. Benton 224 Strand London". Right side plate marked "E. Benton". Floral scroll engraved sideplate, hammer, trigger guard and ramrod hinge. Gold inlay to rear of barrel. Checkered grip. Captured ramrod. Includes presentation box. This item can be shipped in-house.
Condition
Strong action. Light surface wear with discoloration to finish. Stock has light wear marks. No cracks or loss to stock.
