Description
Certificate of Honorable Service for Washington Bloodsworth, of the 14th Regiment, United States Colored Heavy Artillery, Garrison duty at New Berne and other points in the Department of North Carolina until December 1865, mustered out December 11, 1865. The Regiment fought in the Second Battle of Dalton, Battle of Decatur, and most notably the Battle of Nashville, helping defeat the Confederate Army of Tennessee, chasing Lieutenant General John Bell Hood who had suffered a bloody defeat at Devils Den, Little Round Top, and then lost a leg at Chickamauga. Discharge Document measures 10 x 12 inches. This item can be shipped in-house.
