The right side of the frame is marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.". The barrel at the port is marked "COLT .45 AUTO". The left front of the trigger guard is marked with a "VP" in a triangle and at the rear with "L". 4 1/4" barrel. Brushed stainless steel finish. The front sight is a blade with a white dot fixed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with two white dots dovetailed to the rear of the slide. G10 custom two piece grip.
