Highly detailed miniature Overland Stage Coach model by Fred Schuessler. Wood and metal with hand painted accents. Model measures approximately 24" x 16" x 10" in a case measuring 25" x 19 1/2" x 11 1/2". Signed with metal name plate. Schuessler was a shop foreman who began building scale models for his son, eventually building exacting replicas of cars, trains, stage coaches, ships and even fire engines (one of which is also on offer in this auction). His son carved the people to populate the scenes while his wife sewed the upholstery. This item will need to be shipped by a packing company of your choice.
