Breathtaking 19th century Japanese relief carved and tessellated ivory cabinet in the manner of Tohekido Yoshikazu. Delicate relief carvings of quail in foliage. Tessellated shelves. Inside panels are all gold fleck lacquer. Outstanding detail. Measures 21-1/2" high, 18" wide and 8" deep. PLEASE NOTE: This item is carved from antique, pre-ban African elephant ivory. It can be shipped only where allowed by law. This item will need to be shipped by a packing company of your choice. We maintain a list of reliable shippers, or you may choose your own.
Condition
Missing one drawer. One door hinge pin missing on top shelf closet. A couple of edge losses and two missing chips. Definitely worth a professional restoration.
